Dr. Shab Krish, Centre Director, is passionate about helping people and improving their quality of life. As a double specialist in both Periodontics and Endodontics, she founded Associates in Periodontics, Implantology and Endodontics and has been serving the Lewisville, Flower Mound, Denton, and surrounding North Texas communities for over 25 years. After suffering from Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) pain herself, she started to study TMD, Sleep Disordered Breathing, and Craniofacial Pain. She now has about 10,000 Continuing Education credits in the field, including board certifications with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine.
After learning how to relieve her own pain and improve her sleep, Dr. Krish decided to devote all of her time to exclusively treating TMD, Craniofacial Pain, and sleep disorders by opening the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of North Texas.
At TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of North Texas we understand that the complexity and severity of pain, sleep disorders, and breathing disorders can vary for each patient. Some patients may experience TMJ pain and dysfunctions, some patients may have primary headaches (known as migraines, tension, and cluster type headaches), and some might experience restless nights or daytime drowsiness. Still, other patients may have facial neuralgias, musculoskeletal pain, or a combination of all of these symptoms. We understand that finding relief for these problems can be frustrating and confusing. With proper evaluation and diagnosis, the conditions of Craniofacial Pain, Sleep Apnea, and Snoring can be successfully treated. Our highly trained staff is exclusively dedicated to the comprehensive evaluation for proper diagnosis and implementation of non-invasive treatment therapies. Using state of the art technology and research-based treatment in a caring and friendly environment, we recognize and treat each patient as a unique individual.
