Barbara has led the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Team from the beginning. Her passion for helping others through their life-changing transformations is astounding. Barbara says that the best part of her vital role is, “To be able to give people the answers they have been seeking for so long. The transformation in their faces from when they start treatment to when they finish treatment. Giving them their life back!” While out of the office, Barbara is active in her church and enjoys reading or painting. She is usually found not far from her Rescue Dog, Lucy.
Christina is the face of our practice. By sharing her smile, kindness, and empathy for others, she is able to make sure that each patient feels comfortable and is at ease. Known for putting a smile on the face of everyone she meets, Christina enjoys helping people rid themselves of pain and take their life back! When she isn’t helping patients in the office, Christina is almost always spending time with her friends and family, including her boyfriend Jon and his two sons. She also enjoys adventuring with her dog Levi by kayaking, hiking, or camping.
Since graduating from UNT with a BBA in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior, Shannen has continuously applied her skills to help patients understand their treatment options and insurance plans. She enjoys seeing patients finally getting the help they need and is passionate about expanding her knowledge. Shannen expresses her gratitude by saying, “I wouldn’t have learned so much about TMJ and Sleep Apnea if it weren’t for Dr. Krish!” In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Toby, and her cats: Aurora, Milli, and Pippa. When she isn’t with her friends she is usually catching up on Netflix shows or reading a book.
Elvira has been a crucial part of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Team as a Registered Dental Assistant for many years now. She is amazed by the ability to use new technology to allow patients to understand and gain knowledge of their underlying issues, and sincerely enjoys the relationships that she is able to build with patients while relieving their pain and improving their quality of life. In her free time, Elvira enjoys spending time with her sons and grandchildren, as well as crocheting, dancing, and relaxing with music or movies.
Since graduating from Kaplan College in 2015 as a Registered Dental Assistant, Melissa has helped patients with compassion and patience, as she has also suffered from TMJ. Melissa speaks out about her struggles and her role in the practice by saying, “I suffered from jaw pain, headaches, and clenching. It was unbearable. I can relate to patients who suffer from TMJ pain. Dr. Krish is so thorough and we both enjoy making our patients feel at ease and feel better overall.” Melissa doesn’t let her compassion for others end at work, either. Whether it be hiking, walking her Yorkie named Harley, or vacationing, she is almost always found spending time with her fiancé, two daughters, step-daughter, and step-son.
Shelby fell in love with Dentistry in 2013 and has since spent 2 of her 5 years as a Registered Dental Assistant working alongside Dr. Krish. Shelby says that she is passionate about TMJ and Sleep for many reasons, but, “The best part is working together to change people’s lives! Spouses sleeping in the same room again after being separated by sleep apnea and taking people’s pain away!” When she’s not in the office, Shelby is usually found on campus working towards her RN degree. However, in her spare time, she enjoys traveling to the mountains with her boyfriend Tom, hunting down the best ice cream in DFW, and exploring different forms of exercise.
Jessica has a dynamic role in the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Team, as she works diligently to expand the community’s knowledge of TMJ and sleep disordered breathing. By educating others of the seriousness of these disorders and the life-changing treatments offered by Dr. Krish, she is able to gain what she considers the best part of her role: the satisfaction and joy of seeing people flourish as they gain an understanding of their underlying issues and take control to improve their quality of life. Jessica continues to increase her knowledge and skills by taking courses at North Central Texas College where she is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa and The National Society of Leadership and Success. When she is not focusing on her work or education, Jessica enjoys spending time with her fiancé Collin, her daughter Cadence, and their five dogs.
